and, you read the title right… * O Come, All Ye FAITHLESS…
penned by none other than our very own jessica hong! the first time i heard this, she performed/shared it during our Q cafe’s anniversary celebration. i was in shock when I first heard this classic being re-arranged. i was like:
“WHAT?!? how dare she! this is a classic!!!” :O
but then, as i got past my silly self, and stopped and started to listen to the lyrics, i was moved to tears as i realized this song/carol no longer was something i sung along to countless times growing up, but in an epiphanous moment, became a carol i sang as if it was my own story… depicting what i currently am, not what i yet want to become/am striving to be (and keep failing miserably in becoming, for some reason…)!
please read. let it soak in. sing, choir of sinners!
v.1
“o come, all ye faithless, doubtful and disheartened
o come ye, o come ye just as you are…
come and be honest, come in all your brokenness.”
v.2
“sing, choirs of sinners, sing of your redemption!
o sing, sing and testify of pow’r from above…
glory to God… all glory in the highest!”

yeah, that blew me away as well when she sang at the Q party.
with all the insane musical talent at Quest…I’m thinking you all should record….so the rest of us non-talented musical ones can enjoy on a regular basis….hehe
